My story

I have always had a fascination with the natural world and traditions. As a child I collected and painted plants, researching their uses in folk medicine, in practical ways around the home or revelled in their symbolism; from the secret meanings of flowers in courtship to warding off evil spirits!

My career took me into commercial textile and clothing production, and then running my own business consultancy in quality, safety and security management systems, but my heart has always been rooted in creative pursuits, and my fascination with nature.

Over the years, I have published numerous articles on folklore and traditions, I’m a singer and musician, and continue to sew and craft textiles. As a trustee of a Nature Reserve for many years and a keen gardener, I’ve maintained my connection with the natural world.

Now, having recently bought a small holding, all my interests come together, interwoven into a new chapter in my life, and a way of life where I can share those passions with others.
